Student Action Plan Against Bullying

Ready to take action to address bullying? Maybe not sure how to start? As a student, bullying is something that impacts you, your peers, and your school – whether you’re the target of bullying, a witness, or the person who bullies. Bullying can end, but that won’t happen unless students, parents, and educators work together and take action.

Tell Us Why You Care

  • Cyber bullying can lead to people becoming insecure about themselves and that is something that I dont want people feeling because you shouldn't be insecure about yourself.

    Jillian — 12
  • People shouldn't be judged by anyone, anywhere, anytime, and if someone is truly mean to one another, they can scar them for life. I feel like people who do get bullied don't really tell anyone because they are scared. It is really sad that people are so scared of a bully that they would rather not tell someone so that the bully won't be angrier at them. We definetly need more upstanders because bullies are just growing more and more, and if we don't stand up to them, they could take control. Also, I feel like bullies target people who may be weaker, younger, or shorter than them when no adults are around. We need to tell adults because the sooner we tell them, the sooner they will be stopped. Another thing is that people would rather watch someone being bullied rather than help stop the bully. We need more brave people and possibly to be more brave. If someone tells an adult that a person is bullying them, the bully might be like "Uh, oh" because bullies aren't used to being caught, and when they do, they think "This was a bad idea". If we all work together and report bullying, we might just put an end to it.

  • I care because, if you bully someone, it can really affect their mental health in a bad way. This could also lead to self-harm and it could also affect people around them.

    Paul — 14
  • I feel very bad for you girls and boys who been bullied or has a friend that has or is still getting bullied

    Javion — 13
  • I care about bullying because it's not fair for other students to be treated unkindly when they don't deserve to. It is very unfair for those students who are trying to get the day over and after get bullied. We have to do something about it because, if us not who? and if not now when?

    Leila — 11
  • I care because it effects people's lives and mental health and it causes lots of harm to happen every single year.

    Har — 11

I was bullied in elementary school
Anonymous

When I was in 4th grade I liked this one boy but there were 2 people who would always bully me because of it. They would laugh at me for it. They would go out of their way to make me feel miserable. I finally stood up to them one day and then I reported them to the principal.
